This is a big deal. The allowance of VOIP changes the paradigm pretty significantly. Would hazard to guess that the next iteration of iPad will certainly include a front facing camera for video conferencing. It's a natural fit (as it is for the iPhone at some point).

Only crappy thing is that Skype won't be able to run in the background! (I still don't get how you leave out multi-tasking on this device). Probably won't happen, but we can always dream.... Speaking of dreaming, maybe there is no camera on the iPad because they will all be on the next iPhone?!

This is very interesting and I think that with the new iPad, it will be capable of phone calls. This may open the doors to other options like mentioned above and maybe not jailbreaking in order to do so.

it also has bluetooth, so concievably a bluetooth headset would work.
