What do you mean by iPhone 4G? There isn’t any iPhone “4G” imminent. iPhone 3G stands for iPhone “3G cellular” which denotes that it works on UMTS and HSDPA. iPhone 3G doesn’t mean that it is a third generation iPhone. iPod uses that denotation unofficially but iPhone doesn’t. This “G” doesn’t equate to that “G”.

It is similar to a customer who complained to Apple that she got cheated because she bought an 8GB iPhone and all she got was “3″, “why” Apple asked. and she said well, the back of the phone said “3G”.

Cellular 4G would mean LTE or similar technology, which won’t be out any time soon, not to mention included in handsets like this.

Of course Apple can decide to confuse the whole world by calling their next phone “4G” if they insist, but I have yet to hear from Apple saying that yet.

Hi Everyone, I just call Rogers, I can confirm that the price drop. However, giving that AT&T is saying new IPhone should be ready in late June, is hard to decide if we should get a 3G now with only 100 dollar cheaper for 3 year commitment.
