I've made sure I've stuck with my original price/terms that I got when I signed up with Robbers on the iPhone 3G.

Every time they change the terms (eg the charging for incoming SMS) I called up and said I signed the contract saying XYZ, you can leave me on those terms or terminate my contract (they'd be the ones terminating, not me, so no cancellation charges on my end).

They've always agreed to keep my original terms so far :D

When the iPhone was first announced the prices were so bad that most people planned to skip the iPhone altogether, the backlash was so big it was even covered in the U.S tech press. Rogers reduced the prices significantly on launch day, and then continued to lower the prices leading up to that Christmas. I really thought that was the start of a change. It looked like Canadians were about to put their foot down for a change and that a corporation would actually respond. Now this year has been a total disaster for iPhone users, as prices rise and service seems to be getting worse.

Rogers just doesn't get it, I know a handful of people with iPhones and everyone else says they want one but the plans are way too high.

I wouldn't pay the current prices, I'm locked in at a much lower rate, that took a lot of negotiating and time to put in place.

I swear they're setting up customer to want to switch to one of the new carriers in the fall or next year (whenever they start). Maybe it's because they don't want a congested network? :)
