Higher population density and unregulated wireless network competition (ie outside North America) always make for better consumer choices. In Canada, we have a fairly closed group of wireless carriers guided by the CRTC which basically just stops the major players from screwing the public but does not really foster any added competition between the carriers.

Our country is so large it creates enormous cost to string a data network across it so the trickle down effect is felt at the rate plan level.

Sucks to live in one of the largest countries in the world.

I’ve check AT&T, O2, and Orange and all of them have unlimited data plans.

I read Doug’s comment and trust that he’s got a reliable source so my question is…

Fido data rates .. $30 for 300mb and it goes from there…

I’m quite happy with that. I was on the unlimited, but had to switch to the $60 25mb plan last month. Happy that didn’t last long…

No luck on the unlimited plan. The biggest plan is 2GB for $115. Mind you, that does include voice too.

That’s not an unlimited plan. That’s a 3GB plan.
