Sorry to break the bad news for you people with hacked iPhones, but you only get free wi-fi at Rogers hotspots (www.canadianhotspots.ca) if you have a Rogers 3G iPhone.

Rediculous...I have been anticipating buying my iPhone on July 11th for about 3 months now...since I lost my last phone and started using a 7 year old Nokia.

But wtf...over 100 a month for 400mb?

that takes it from sitting on my couch playing on my iPhone...to going to my computer desk...charging my iPhone and playing on my PC. Which is stupid because whats the point of having one anymore?

...add onto it that the iPhone is still a Phone and 150 daytime minutes??? honesltY? What kind of company doesnt offer an unlimited offer....my 1st celphone came with unlimited daytime and that was like 8 years ago or more.....i will be canceling my family plan as soon as I can, I've had enough of Rogers.

Alex... yeah i know what you mean... On the Rogers site they show their "Hotspot" logo, but i've only ever seen that logo at Bell Hotspot locations.
As for using your own wi-fi network.. i would think yes they will charge you for that as well, probably even if you subscribe to internet through rogers... they will just ding you twice.

there is an online petition at ruinediphone.com so far about 20,000 people have signed it.
