Sorry to break the bad news for you people with hacked iPhones, but you only get free wi-fi at Rogers hotspots (www.canadianhotspots.ca) if you have a Rogers 3G iPhone.

Rediculous…I have been anticipating buying my iPhone on July 11th for about 3 months now…since I lost my last phone and started using a 7 year old Nokia.

But wtf…over 100 a month for 400mb?

that takes it from sitting on my couch playing on my iPhone…to going to my computer desk…charging my iPhone and playing on my PC. Which is stupid because whats the point of having one anymore?

…add onto it that the iPhone is still a Phone and 150 daytime minutes??? honesltY? What kind of company doesnt offer an unlimited offer….my 1st celphone came with unlimited daytime and that was like 8 years ago or more…..i will be canceling my family plan as soon as I can, I’ve had enough of Rogers.

Alex… yeah i know what you mean… On the Rogers site they show their “Hotspot” logo, but i’ve only ever seen that logo at Bell Hotspot locations.
As for using your own wi-fi network.. i would think yes they will charge you for that as well, probably even if you subscribe to internet through rogers… they will just ding you twice.

there is an online petition at ruinediphone.com so far about 20,000 people have signed it.

Wait so what do they mean by FREE Wi-Fi browsing at ROGERS/FIDO Hotspots? First of all, I work for and authorized Rogers Wireless dealer, and there are no such things as ROGERS/FIDO hotspots that I know of, and secondly… Does that mean we HAVE to use ROGERS/FIDO hotspots? Does that mean they’ll charge us for using our own wi-fi networks?

I was going to switch to the G3, but not now. I’m going to wait it out until another vendor come along that has bought up some of that block of airwave!

Here here to Mil. Right now I pay $15/month to Telus for unlimited internet browsing. Its absolutely ridiculous that we are the only country that still can’t offer a decent unlimited plan. They’re all a bunch of greedy pricks.
