Name Display not working with Iphone
I called all over fido and Rogers and apple I found out apple iPhone don’t have that also don’t have call forward busy call forward
I am going return iPhone and get my money back also battery eat too much

Looks like this is broken again with the iPhone 4S. Possibly related to the Qualcomm chip? Apparently the feature still works on the iPhone 3GS and 4 running iOS5.

i am having the same problem with you.
name display only shows people's name from Fido/Rogers. All other's number will only show numbers.
i called the tech support of rogers, and that guy and his supervisor Susan insisted that Apple iphone doesnt support name display.

Seeing as I'm computer illiterate, anyone know anyone/anywhere to get my bell 3gs 16gig unlocked? I live in Milton so nearby would be ideal but I'm willing to travel anywhere in the GTA for less than a bill.

I read this thread 2 days before my iPhone arrived, the 1st thing I did was have 3 numbers call me (I had NO contacts in my book) and they all said the names of the people

I don't think jailbroken or NOT has anything to do with it.
I bet most (I'm not saying all) people who are reporting success aren't realizing the subtlety of address-book playing a big role.

I have already reported above that it didn't work on my jailbroken phone, I placed my sim in two different
1- v3.01 NOT jailbroken
2- v.3.1.2 NOT jailbroken
phones (and yes I do subscribe to the name display service) and in both cases Name Display did not work.

My test results along with Rogers Tech Sup insisting that it doesn't work convinces me that if it works at all this service is very flaky with Rogers.

I'd like to see a proof of the contrary.
