legally speaking you need not stic to the contract as FIDO/Rogers are changing an essential term of the contract. Just cancell the contract and let them fight for the early cancellation fee. In my openion legally they can't take it to the court as they are bount to loose and will be liable to pay your court fees and general damages on top

fido IS JUST OUT TO FLEECE CUSTOMERS. I decided to withdraw from the term by recinding the contract and they still charge me early cancellaton fee. I am not paying it and may take FIDO to court if they do not withdraw early cancellation fee from my bill.

Does anyone if it is possible to to issue class action law suit against them? I signed up for 3 years when LCA was as it was. Imagine how many people would sign up for this class action? Since now it has changed why should Ipay penalty to get rid of thier service? If they change the game rules just let me go out of it.

It is just in time Bell has announced support for iPhone 3G. We all should think about making Rogers look bad in public media - only than they will seriously think about what they have done.

Here is the catch. The map is approximate and it says with little size font below the map that the area is defined by the recieving/transimtting tower rather than actual client location. Menaing, if they setup towers along the border so many people will use out-local area toiwers even though they are within the borders of local area. Ripping off, no doubt.

There must class action law suit here for changing our contracts and how much we pay.

- Eugene

I have lodged a complaint with the CCTS, which handles complaints for the CRTC about the change in the LCA.
FIDO has refused to supply me with a map of the old LCA, so I can avoid incuring long distance charges. They actually told me that they don't want to discuss this subject with me anymore!

The Fido Toronto Local Area map is out

http://www.fido.ca/web/Fido.portal?_nfpb=true&_...

This confirms that on Oct. 15. I will be making long distance when I make a call from Newmarket to Toronto. I'm very upset now. So what's the course of action we as consumer can do? Any reco? I think I should be grand fathered as an existing customer who is in a 3 years voice plan + 3 years (6G for $30) data plan. or Fido gives me the option to op out of the entire deal with no penalty.

Please help...
