Let’s take some time to round up some of the latest iPhone before we enjoy our weekend. Here we go…

WWDC banners are now up at the conference center! Check out the following pic from Gernot Poetsch’s WWDC 08 photostream:

TheStreet.com offers some analysis on what the Apple must achieve with their newest iPhone to enter the corporate world, which is currently dominated by the Blackberry (or crackberry):

Some blogs are talking about 3rd party manufacturers plus 3G iPhone specs heading in the wrong direction…

That guy from THE STREET is an idiot. So his answer is for Steve Jobs to “bite the bullet” and run Windows Mobile or the Blackberry OS on the iPhone. Is he on crack?!

This is a wonderful example of those analysts who can’t see more than 20 feet down the road. The fact that everyone compares every smart-phone’s functionality to the iPhone is THE POINT! Apple announce enterprise support in March at the SDK event, was he listening?

Apples OS and the new AppStore will make it easy for developers to add all the functionality that any smartphone has onto the iPhone. Even Microsoft must be asking itself how much money it can make by selling a version of office to iPhone users.

Mac market-share in the computer world is on the rise. It’s not going to happen overnight, but once people get over their irrational fear of “It’s not Windows”, the sky’s the limit. Personally, I think we’re very near a tipping point in Mac usage, where the number of users is going to DRAMATICALLY increase in a short space of time.

Just because Blackberry and WM is entrenched doesn’t mean there isn’t a better alternative. The user experience will win in the end.

I completely agree!! That guy who says that iPhone needs to run windows mobile, or the Blackberry OS is just a huge idiot! I believe apple can beat the performance of both OS’s combined in future updates or even in the upcoming 3g release.
