iTunes Radio Showing Up in Canada on the Mac For Some Users [PICS]

Last fall Bloomberg reported Apple had plans to expand iTunes Radio into Canada in ‘early 2014’ and at the same time a job posting revealed the company was actively seeking a Canadian Music Programmer for the service.

As far back as last fall Canadians have seen iTunes Radio pop up on their iOS devices and even during January of this year, being able to play music via the service until the app was closed then it would ‘disappear’.

Now, we are hearing from multiple readers iTunes Radio is appearing within iTunes on the Mac, fully functioning and all, with Canadian iTunes accounts signed in (not the U.S. workaround trick).

iPhoneinCanada.ca reader Andrew provided the following screenshots of iTunes Radio working within iTunes on his Mac and also proved to us privately he was signed into his Canadian iTunes account. He says it popped up on his Mac just over a week ago.

Earlier this month a report cited iOS 8 would bring a standalone iTunes Radio app. Australia had their iTunes Radio launch in February, the first country outside the U.S. to gain the music service.

Now that we’re into April, that means WWDC 2014, if slated for June again is just over two months away. If we don’t see a Canadian iTunes Radio launch prior to that, I’d bet it would debut at WWDC.

Anyone else seeing iTunes Radio within iTunes on their Mac or PC?
