New MacBook Air Pricing Leaks Alludes to Debut at WWDC 2013

Apple is widely expected to refresh its Mac line up at WWDC 2013, but now specific details have emerged from 9to5Mac in regards to the MacBook Air, as the site has received pricing details for new models, linked to previously leaked SKUs.

Today, we have received specific pricing for the aforementioned SKUs, and the price-points correspond to Apple’s current pricing for the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models. We have yet to receive pricing information that points to the imminent availability of new MacBook Pros (as some had hoped), but perhaps the next refresh to Apple’s Pro portables will arrive in the coming months.

Other tidbits include the possibility Apple could drop the price of the high-end MacBook Air in some countries (cross your fingers, Canada), plus word SKUs have already started shipping to locations around the world, hinting new models will be on sale shortly after their announcement at WWDC.

9to5Mac also notes new accessory SKUs have leaked, hinting at a possible refresh of AirPort Extreme and Time Capsules to support faster 802.11ac 5G Wi-Fi, as previous rumours have speculated the faster standard would soon debut on new Mac computers this year.

A recent report by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo noted Apple will debut a new MacBook Air with a dual mic, plus a thinner 13-inch Retina Macbook Pro at WWDC. Do not buy a new Mac until after WWDC, which takes place on Monday.
