French site MacGeneration (via MacRumors)reports that Apple could update its MacBook Air line as early as next week. The information comes from reliable sources speaking with the site and pointed to new devices coming with 11- and 13-inch screens, which are the sizes of the MacBook Air line.
If we can believe the rumours, the update will arrive next Tuesday and will bring a slight performance upgrade among other changes. Apple can choose between a number of recently launched processors, including the 1.4 GHz i5-4260U, the 1.4 GHz i5-4350U, and the 1.5 GHz i5-4360U.
The whispers corroborate earlier claims of a MacBook Air refresh. The Chinese WeiPhone user who revealed the forthcoming MacBook Air refresh has also mentioned a 12-inch MacBook model, which is expected to hit the market later this year.
Rumours of a 12- or 13-inch iPad surfaced earlier this year, but KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will go with a 12-inch Retina MacBookAir, which will likely be much thinner and utilize a fanless cooling system and buttonless trackpad.
