Only Apple calls a ‘patch’ an ‘update’ – and the Macoyltes swoon with the thrill.

OSX is 15 years old (and heavily borrowed from NeXT and their efforts with UNIX) with some 11 reiterations and loads of ‘updates’ – most of the last few seemingly to justify Jony Ives existence there. One wonders if there’ll ever be another real OS leap with Apple, or if we’re all destined to move to iOS instead.
