I just got a phone for my 15 year old . . . you try and make some sort of sense of it. Get a "mega" package that has like an hour of monthly airtime and have to pay extra $5 for more time and/or messages. Do nothing with their service and suddenly be charged an extra $20/month for a music service. I want one price for everything. Surf, text, call anywhere in North America, download galore. Just use the phone without all the surprise charges, access fees and misc other add-ons. This is horseh*t, along with every other plan out there.
