Apple has hired a veteran business development executive from cloud storage company Box, according to Re/code. Sources say Appleton will take on an “enterprises-focused role” at Apple, to reportedly assist the iPhone maker in their approach to the enterprise.

Appleton announced on Facebook “Officially an Apple employee. Excited for this adventure!” but did not elaborate her new role at the company.

She was the first non-technical hire for Box, handling the company’s “business development, partnership, and strategic alliance activities that drove credibility, awareness and revenue” from 2007 to 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Last week, she announced her departure from Box, in a post on Medium titled 9 In 9: 9 Learnings from 9 Years at Box, concluding “appreciating serendipity and not taking it for granted is a gift.”
