Apple Said to Launch iPad Pro 2, Red iPhone 7, 128GB iPhone SE at March Event

Towards the end of last year, Japanese blog Macotakara cited a Barclay’s analyst supporting the supply-chain rumour Apple was working on a new red colour option for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Now, according to the blog, Apple will host a March event to introduce the new phone color as well as a new iPad Pro lineup and iPhone SE model.

Since the launch of the iPhone SE last March, talk of a refreshed model was always sidelined by the fact that Apple was focusing more on last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Now that the company has already released its 2016 flagship smartphones and the fact that it has almost been a year since the 4-inch iPhone SE was released, fresh details of the handset have begun showing up.

According to Macotakara, Apple will add a third storage option for the 4-inch iPhone SE, which already comes in 16GB and 64GB storage options. As it is, fans of the compact iPhone will be able to buy a 128GB variant of the smartphone by May this year.

If all goes according to the latest rumours, the event will also see a new iPad Pro lineup hit the shelves, with up to 4 new models different models. Where the tech giant is expected to update the 9.7-inch iPad Pro as well as the larger 12.9-inch model, the report claims that there will be a third and fourth iPad Pro this time around.

One will ship with a much smaller 7.9-inch display screen while the other will slide in between the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch variants, debuting a 10.5-inch iPad Pro model that could be the flagship design.

In addition to these products, the report hints that Apple may be introducing a red version of both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, possibly with the (Product)Red branding, as well as potentially unveiling a new lineup of bands for the Apple Watch.

The company will hold an event in June, its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in nearby San Jose, California, where it is expected to introduce iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11.
