Apple Quietly Updates iPad Lineup with Increased Storage, Drops iPad Pro Price

Apple did not mention the iPad once during its event today, however the tablet lineup received some fine tuning after the event. All standard iPad models have had their base storage increased from 16GB to 32GB, while keeping their existing prices.

The iPad Pro’s higher storage tiers have received a price cut, with the 128GB model dropping by CAD$70 (from $999 to $929 for ) and the $256GB model dropping by CAD$150 (from $1199 to $1049 for Wi-Fi model). The 128GB 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi model dropped from $999 to $929, while the 256GB model dropped from $1199 to $1049. The 128GB 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi model dropped from $1179 to $1109, while the 256GB model dropped from $1379 to $1229. To get the old/new prices for the cellular models, just add $180 to each price respectively.

You will also notice that the iPad mini 2 is now being sold in a single storage configuration. The iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2’s largest storage tier has also been upgraded to 128GB from 64GB.
