Apple Store Logos in RED in Recognition of World AIDS Day

During the past three years, Apple has acknowledged December 1 as World AIDS Day, and this year is no different: Apple logos turned red at some of its retail locations in the United State, the United Kingdom, and Australia, according to multiple reports on Twitter.

The new campaign for World AIDS Day 2014 is once again being undertaken in partnership with Product (RED). As announced earlier last month, Apple donates a portion of the proceeds from every product, accessory, and gift card it sells at its brick-and-mortar stores and online to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. Also, it created a special section in the iTunes store entitled Apps for (RED), and when users make in-app purchases, Apple will donate 100% of the proceeds.

Apple sells a number of (Product) RED items, such as the red iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPad Mini Smart Cover or smart case, as well as similar accessories for the iPad Air, and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
