Apple, Telus Receive 2013 Harris Poll Canada ‘Brand of the Year’ Awards

The latest results from the 2013 Harris Poll Canada EquiTrend study have come out which examined the health of over 400 unique brands in 30 categories in our country. 

Apple took home three ‘Brand of the Year’ awards as it won the ‘Computers’ category, the iPhone won the ‘Mobile Devices’ category, and the iPad won the ‘Tablets’ category. 

The winner of the ‘Mobile Phone Service Providers’ category was Telus while Videotron won the ‘Internet and TV Service Providers’ category. Rogers and Bell were shut out, however The Globe and Mail (Bell owns a 15% stake) and CTV (owned by Bell Media) made the list.

Of course, other typical Canadian brands such as WestJet, Canada Post, CBC Radio, Tim Hortons and Shoppers Drug Mart also made the list. Check out the full list of winners below:

The sample size surveyed included 9,138 Canadians over the age of 15 back in November 2013, taking an average of 30 minutes to complete. Harris Interactive is a subsidiary of Nielsen.
