Apply Now: Apple Giving Select Developers Free Apple TV 4

apple-tv-4

Starting today, Apple is giving developers an opportunity to get the latest Apple TV hardware for free.

Apple announced the all-new Apple TV, which brings a revolutionary experience to the living room with apps built for the television and Siri listening to your commands. Alongside the first tvOS beta, Apple also launched the Apple TV Developer Kit program, which gives developers the chance to build and test their apps on the Apple TV before it becomes available to the public.

The Apple TV Developer Kit includes the all-new set-top-box, Apple TV Remote, Power Cord, Lightning to USB Cable, USB-A to USB-C Cable, and documentation. If you are a developer registered in the Apple Developer Program or Apple Developer Enterprise Program as of September 9, 2015, at 9 a.m. PDT, you can apply for yours until September 11 at noon.

That doesn’t mean you are going to get it, though, because your application will go through a selection process as availability and supplies are limited. If selected, Apple will charge you $1.00 USD in local currency.

The Apple TV Developer Kit program is limited to the following counties:

Australia
Austria
Belgium
Canada
Czech Republic
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Hungary
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Luxembourg
Netherlands
New Zealand
Poland
Portugal
Spain
Sweden
United Kingdom
United States
