Siri is Apple’s personal voice assistant that lives on your iPhone, which allows users to accompish many tasks by just talking to their iPhone. Tasks include sending text messages, email, getting weather updates, setting reminders and calendar events, and much more.

In the new Spike Jonze movie, “Her,” Siri may be getting a little bent out of shape over Samantha, the digital personal assistant in the movie. The film is set to open in theatres nationwide today, after a brief pre showing in select theatres, the buzz is growing over the voice of the digital personal assistant the film’s hero, who will be played by Joaquin Phoenix, falls madly in love with.

The voice of the assistant is played by actress Scarlett Johansson. The voice was reportedly nailed by Johansson and reports say this must be hurting Apple’s current female Siri voice.

Patrick May of the Mercury News asked Siri about her thoughts on the movie “Her”. Below is the voice recording of the entire conversation he had with Apple’s Siri.

The movie is set in a not so distant future and shows users that in today’s world, talking to your iPhones is starting to seems startlingly human.

Apple first debuted Siri with the launch of the iPhone 4S. With the release of iOS 7, the company has dropped the beta tag from Siri.
