Best Buy Canada Launches New Apple TV Pre-Orders

If you’ve been waiting for Best Buy Canada to carry the new 4th generation Apple TV, pre-orders went live today, according to an emailed statement to iPhone in Canada.

Both the 32GB and 64GB models are available priced at $199 and $269 respectively, the same MSRP from Apple. The launch of the new Apple TV at the electronics retailer will take place in one week on November 10, 2015.

For those without Apple retail stores in their area, pre-ordering from Best Buy today to pick up on launch day will be faster than ordering from Apple online (regular shipping; expedited is faster but will cost you), based on delivery estimates showing November 12 right now (to our area anyways).

Ordering from your local Best Buy versus Apple also means simpler returns if you change your mind.

Let us know if you’re going to pre-order from Best Buy!

Hooked up my new 64GB Apple TV last night… I love it! Beautiful interface, remote is slick, SIRI works like a charm! I was going to move my “old” 3rd generation one to another TV, but now that I’ve seen the new one in action, I think I will purchase a 32GB for our secondary TV!! 🙂

  • That’s awesome Tim. Sounds like the new Apple TV has ‘spoiled’ you already!

Hooked mine up too and I’m impressed. I’d never used an Apple TV before and after a couple hours of fiddling around with it, I’ve already decided that my WDTV Live is no longer needed. I installed Plex (never heard of it until a few days ago)and my somewhat illegal movie collection can now be played alongside my legal iTunes movies. I wish my NAS was powerful enough to run it but it isn’t so my PC will have to be left on when I’m wanting to watch something from the computer but that isn’t the end of the world.
