Apple has made a strategic move in the AI space by acquiring Paris-based startup Datakalab, specializing in on-device processing.
During WWDC, CNN’s Laurie Segall had the chance to sit down for an exclusive interview with Apple SVP of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller.
In the interview, Schiller talks about the great success of the App Store and how it has empowered anyone to create their own company around an amazing idea. In an effort to get more indie developers noticed, Apple is redesigning the App Store with iOS 11 to better showcase the enormous amount of apps and games that are available on their platform.
Schiller goes on to talk about the development centers that Apple has created in Italy and Brazil to teach and inspire young people to get started developing apps.
