Concept Re-Imagines 2016 ‘eMac’ for Educational Market [VIDEO]

Concept designers at Curved/labs have imagined what would happen if Apple focused on the educational market with a new desktop computer in 2016 based on the eMac, short for education Mac, which was considered to be the successor to the “Ur-iMac” with the design of an all-in-one PC but was ultimately replaced by a completely redesigned iMac in 2005. The result is the all new ‘eMac 2016’.

The above image shows the original eMac (left) and the concept eMac 2016 (right). The concept desktop aimed at the modern educational market features the same specs as latest iMac but with a 17″ Retina display with 4:3 screen proportion. It has an all glass front incorporating capacitive touch screen and a front-facing dual camera for 3D capture/scanning/imaging.
