D-Link has just launched its all new Covr AC3900 Whole Home Wi-Fi System in Canada, that uses a high-performance router and seamless extender to create a single network with ultra-fast speeds and reliable connectivity, with up to 6,000 sq. ft. of Wi-Fi coverage. Additional seamless extenders can be added to expand coverage in the largest of homes making the system highly scalable.

“The system uses a premium AC2600 High-Power Wi-Fi Router at its core, creating a Wi-Fi “PowrZone” of blazing fast Wi-Fi, optimized to handle the bulk of your activity, while the Covr Seamless Wi-Fi Extender takes care of the outer edge. This design ensures you get whole home coverage, while still having the power, speed and advanced features to handle bandwidth intensive activities like 4K streaming and gaming on multiple devices”.

“Covr offers Canadians a ‘best of both worlds’ solution to their coverage and performance issues,” said Lou Reda, President of D-Link Canada. He continued that the system offers all the coverage of a Wi-Fi System, without the typical compromise in speed you see from some of those low performance, multi-satellite solutions.

Below are some of the key features of the Covr Wi-Fi System:

  • Smart Roaming: As you move through your home you seamlessly connect to the strongest signal, eliminating the need to disconnect and reconnect
  • Smart Steering: Automatically steers your devices to the optimal wireless band maximizing the speed of all your connected devices
  • MU-MIMO Technology: Greatly improves wireless performance by transmitting to multiple devices simultaneously
  • 4 X 4 Technology: Supports up to 4 simultaneous data streams for increased throughput
  • 11AC Wireless Speeds.
  • Covr AC2600 Seamless Wi-Fi Router (COVR-2600R) – 4×4 11ac with up to 1733Mbps on the 5GHz band and 800Mbps on 2.4GHz band for maximum throughput with less interference
  • Covr AC1300 Seamless Wi-Fi Extender (COVR-1300E) – 2×2 11ac with up to 867Mbps on the 5GHz band and 400Mbps on the 2.4GHz band
  • Backwards Compatible: Supports legacy devices and Wi-Fi standards (802.11n/g)

The Covr Whole Home Wi-Fi System is simple to set up using the free D-Link Wi-Fi app or an easy web-based setup wizard, and is available at MSRP of $399.99 at major retailers in Canada.
