Elon Musk Teases Details About Tesla’s Pickup Truck on Twitter

Today, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to try and crowdsource ideas for an electric pickup truck.

Rather than telling buyers what the company is going to do, Musk is asking all of his 22 million Twitter followers what they would like. Just 16 hours after that original tweet was published, which had a total of 22,000 replies, he replied:

He also said that the suspension would be manually adjustable, so that the truck would be able to raise and lower itself to unload goods from the flatbed.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about the pick-up truck. When Musk announced the Semi Tractor in 2017, he also mentioned that: “We created a pickup truck version of the Tesla Semi. It’s a pickup truck that can carry a pickup truck.”

Musk also confirmed the truck will have a six-seater cabin, which will make a lot more room for batteries. Tesla is aiming for a total of a 400-500 mile range with this vehicle.

Beyond this, there is not much else that we know about the pickup truck. of course, there is no date for production yet as the company is still working on brining up Model 3 production.
