Jamboard requires a G Suite license and is aimed at the enterprise and education sectors, seeking a turn-key solution for collaboration in a device that’s connected to the web.

Other competition would be established player SMART Boards, whose products can be seen in numerous education settings, or the Microsoft Surface Hub, which starts at $7,000 USD ($8800 CAD).

The unit houses a 55-inch 4K touchscreen with a built-in wide angle camera and “vibrant down-firing” speakers, powered by an embedded Nvidia Jetson TX1 computer. It has a 120 Hz touch refresh rate, 60 Hz video refresh rate, 1mm accuracy, no batteries or charging, while also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, to go with HDMI, USB 3.0 and Type C ports.

The whiteboard comes in three colours with an optional rolling stand or it can be wall mounted.
