The Toronto Parking Authority announced that the Green P mobile app, which gives Torontonians an easier way to pay for parking, is now available on all Toronto streets.

The roll out across Toronto has been completed ahead of schedule. All Green P machines have been updated with a 4-digit location ID that customers can use to pay for parking when they are in the app. The app gives users the ability to pay for parking, reminds them when their parking session is about to expire and gives them the ability to add more time to their session remotely.

In a statement, Toronto Parking Authority President Lorne Persiko said:

“PayPal is a leading digital payments provider in Canada and we are excited to have them on board as a Green P app partner. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the parking experience for our customers. Creating partnerships with great brands like PayPal adds even more convenience to the app, and is something we will continue to do.”

The app also gives users the ability to use PayPal as a payment method. In a statement, PayPal Canada’s General Manager Paul Parisi said:

“Mobile payments have become popular across Canada. One in four transactions that PayPal processes is through a mobile device. Just in time for the busy holiday season, we are delighted to help Torontonians and visitors pay for street parking from their smartphones.”

The Green P mobile app is available as a free download from the App Store. The app requires any device running iOS 8.1 or later.
