How To Donate to Haiti on Your iPhone

There are times when we need to all band together and drop what we’re doing to help others. Sometimes we take what we have for granted and our “worries” are nothing compared to what’s happening on the ground in Haiti. After the destruction caused by that 7.0 magnitude earthquake, it’s time for us to step up and help.

Text Your Donations Right from Your Phone: Rogers and Bell

The Canadian Salvation Army has a program setup where you can quickly and easily text donations straight from your phone. They’ve teamed up with The Mobile Giving Foundation (non-profit) to make donations amazingly easy and simple. Your cellphone bill will be charged and 100% goes right to the Salvation Army.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Text “HAITI” to 45678 on your iPhone (or any phone)
2. You’ll receive a confirmation message. Reply with “YES”

Rogers and Fido customers can also donate to Partners in Health.

1. Text the word “HELP” to 1291

2. Reply with “YES”

3. $5 will be charged to your cellphone bill.

Telus will have a text program implemented by Friday.

I challenge everybody out there to donate $10 and to tell your friends and family to do the same. Every dollar counts–let’s get started now. All you have to do is give up two lattes or one meal to help!!!
