Apple Said to Introduce New iPhone with 4-inch Display in 2015

Anonymous sources speaking with Feng (via iCulture) say Apple is planning to release a new 4-inch iPhone in 2015. On top of that, other sources speaking with Stabley Times (via the Daily Mail) say Apple will hold two iPhone release events next year. And all these rumours come just three months after the release of two bigger-sized iPhones announced on the same day, September 9.

Iphone 5c

So what’s the catch? You may recall that Apple has plans to discontinue the 4-inch iPhone 5c and the 3.5-inch iPhone 4S next year. To address the need for an iOS device perfect for one-handed use, the company has decided to release a new iPhone with 4-inch display next year.

The sources use a rather interesting argument: This device is mostly targeted at women, as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus aren’t comfortable for one-handed use, which is why Apple implemented the “Reachability” function in the first place, by the way.

The Feng report comes shortly after the Stabley Times heard that Apple will hold two iPhone events next year: It will launch an iPhone 6s alongside the Apple Watch, and unveil the iPhone 7 only six months later.

It does makes sense, right? Not quite, so we have to take it with a grain of salt, just like every unconfirmed rumour from unverified sources.
