iPhone 6 Reserve and Pick Up Goes Live in Canada, Here’s the Link

Okay, so right now iPhone 6 orders are killing Apple’s website and barely anything seems to be working. People really want the iPhone 6, it appears.

As for Reserve and Pick Up, the page has gone live on Apple.ca, but signing in leads to an error. But as per the screenshot we just took below, it appears there is stock for every colour and configuration at Richmond Centre. Who knows if this is live or accurate at this point.

    Just signed in, so it looks like it might be working properly now.

    Edit: Was able to get all the way down to where I’d have finished the reservation, but I’ve already pre-ordered through the app. Don’t want to take the chance that I won’t be able to cancel.

    i reserved iPhone 6 plus through fido and am 39 in line for their reservation. i also reserved a backup of the same model at richmond centre cause I’m not sure if being number 39 will guarantee me one….??? will it? is that a good number to be at for fido?

    For Rogers… you have the choice to choose “upgrade current device” or “add a new line” The process is identical but only the “add a new line” link works and I am 8th in position for a 6+ 64GB in silver. Has anyone went through with the add a new line option and just showed up in store and did the upgrade instead?

    Worked for me!!! I had to log in and out a few times but eventually it went through. Thank you so much for this link. I would have been a mess at work today otherwise staying up all night trying to buy a phone. Reserved two space grey 6+ 128GB’s at Yorkdale for 8 am pickup.

    Oh, you meant one in Space Grey? I reserved that colour by mistake. Now trying to reserve another one with a different Apple ID as I can’t cancel my first reservation, or reserve a 2nd one with the same Apple ID.

    Toronto Eaton Centre seems to have most configurations available. It’s saying the 6+ 64GB is available on the “check stock” page, but when you actually log in, it’s the only one not available. Got the 128 instead. Way more than I need, but I can just load up extra movies. πŸ™‚ At least now I don’t feel like I got up at 3:00am for nothing. Picking up at 6:00pm on the 19th!

    Thanks for the tip it worked (via Internet Explorer on Boot Camp because Safari was DOA). I reserved a iPhone 6 Plus 16GB space grey.

    Anyways… So does this mean my phone is guaranteed to be there on Friday? It just seems too easy… The site is still not back up and the app is not working. Meanwhile, all colors and sizes (almost) are available at most stores… Funny lol.

    You should have gotten a confirmation email if all went properly. If so, then yes, you are guaranteed a phone as long as you arrive during your window! Don’t be late, or they’ll cancel it!

    Guys,
    Doesn’t this mean that you have to have order already made and then to pickup your iPhone at the Store? Im not sure if this reservation is connected to your order (although it did not ask me for my order number) or for buying an iPhone without getting it until becomes available.

    Got One via the app store app at 4 am, delivery 19/9-23/9. Then I follow Gary’s link and it work like a charm was able to reserve one at Dix-30 for a 8 am pick up

    Yeah I got the email and all… I’m portably just surprised. I tried to make the app work for more than an hour and then bingo I could just reserve it… At first I thought the reserve and pick-up was going to be through the regular store. πŸ™‚

    Apparently the Rogers website for “upgrading” is pooched (can’t do the add a line option). Was able to snag what I wanted (6+/64G/Grey on contract) from the Waterloo store.

    Hi guys, iam actually visiting from another country during the launch. I have already reserved an iphone to buy cash. The question is they asking for canadian id when i pick the phone up. will this be a problem when buying cash?

    No Canadian ID is required. I suggest you go to any store and get prepaid credit card with your cash and you should be good to go.

    Apple Store Rideau in Ottawa had every configuration available! Selected carrier option, no issues at all! Picking up between 8-9am on launch day! Guess they have a lot of inventory coming in!

    Still not able to get an iPhone 6 at Place St-Foy for me… 3 hours of attempts, always getting an error at the end.

  • This totally saved my life last night πŸ™‚ The App or store was working for me to order my unlock iPhone…. and this, even better… i’ll be able to just show-up at 9am (I picked 9am, instead of 8 am, to avoid the craziness of the opening store….) and get my 6+ 64Gb!!! This pick and reserve is great πŸ™‚ Can’t wait for the 19….

    Anyone figure out a way to change the details of a reservation? My wife has decided to go with a plus, but you can only reserve one item per day. I’d expect by tomorrow morning there will be no plus options available.

    What are the chances of a 64GB Space Grey iPhone 6 Plus being available at the Markville Shopping Centre on the 19th? I’ll be waiting in line.

    Quite likely there will be stock of every type for the launch day. Typically in Edmonton showing up 4-5 hours before they open will get you your choice.

    I currently have a contract with Rogers that I’d like to do a device upgrade and pay the upgrade fee, but maintain the same (or a similar) contract. Is that something that can be done using this system, or do I have to do that at a Rogers store?

    I currently have a place in line at a Rogers store, but it’d be nice to be able to go at a specific time and get it with a sort of guarantee.

    A quick response would be great, I don’t want the stock to run out. πŸ˜›

    There seems to be kind of a shortage issue with the iPhone 6 Plus. In the Montreal area all four Apple stores still have regular iPhone 6s in stock, but practically no + models for preorder.

    Yep. Pretty sure Apple will make sure to stock quite a few phones on launch day for those without preorders. They like the lines and the media buzz that comes with them.

    That 64GB Space Grey looks like a pretty popular option though. Stocks disappeared pretty quickly compared to the regular iPhone 6 this morning.

    You can simply call Rogers to change your plan, then go to the Apple Store to pick-up your phone and sign a new two-year deal. You can make a reservation for your phone before calling Rogers too. The only info you have to give Apple on the site is ON or Off contract, whatever the contract. No need to go to a Rogers Store. You’ll be charged on your credit card for the upgrade on your next bill.

    Reserve and Pick Up keeps crashing. Got an online order but will ship in Oct 2 – 5. My local store has them for pickup on Day 1 but the reserve and pickup option keeps crashing.

    Yeah the 64GB iPhone 6 is available in my Apple Store for reserve and pick-up, but not the 6 Plus.

    Is the store getting more stock before launch date or is this it? Will I be wasting my time lining up for the iPhone 6 Plus 64GB only for them to tell me that it’s not available?

    You’re able to check stock for your store before you go into reserve but the reservation tool still does not work for me.

    I’m afraid it is not accurate because I saw that all models/flavors are available, then when I signed in, I saw that the 64 Gb isn’t. It happened with many stores.

    I was able to pre order Iphone 6 Silver 64GB for pick up at Guildford Town Center between 8am and 9am with contract on Rogers. I did that around 7:30am pacific time and had no troubles and was able to get a good night rest lol

    Thanks for the advice. I’m usually very polite but I’m a terrible sweet-talker. :/ I was able to make another reservation using my other Apple ID, but had to pick the 128GB version instead of the 64GB. Which is probably for the best as I’ll be able to load more of my music and have all my apps installed. My 32GB iPhone 5 is always full and it’s a PITA having to keep deleting stuff, re-installing apps, etc. Specially when you need to infall an iOS update which usually needs about 1GB of free space.

  • In the past when they had their reservations system, they asked people to check back daily. So yes, more should come but it’s first come, first serve.

    Just be nice about it. Playing dumb helps too… Like you didn’t know what you clicked till after you hit confirm. All they will do is pull from the non-reserved bunch then release yours back into the non-reserved bunch (since non-reserved is not spoken for, a sale is a sale). The only issue you may have is if they have already accounted for the colour/model you didn’t reserve in the reservation bunch (like if you wanted Gold 16gb and they were sold out). They may be able to provide a voucher for the next day.

    As long as you are nice, patient and friendly, they will help you.

    Is it normal for the iPhone 6 reservation not to show up in the iOS Apple Store app nor the online Apple Retail “change or cancel reservation” system? I can’t find any trace of it. Got the reservation confirmation email fine but assume the preorder reservations don’t tie in with their online systems?

    Because I was late to the party, I couldn’t reserve the 128 GB unlocked iPhone 6 from any of the Toronto stores using the online reserve and pick-up page. So what I did was choose the “with contract” version (which was still available) instead. I called the Yorkdale store today to explain that I will not be signing up for a contract and will continue with my current plan instead. They said they will still honour the reservation, essentially guaranteeing me an unlocked iPhone on the 19th πŸ™‚ Just thought I’d share this with anyone with the same predicament who cannot wait for the potential 10-day delay associated with ordering through the Apple Store online.

    It won’t hurt to try. Today a Specialist told me that the allocated time slot is for “traffic management” purposes in case there are too many people, if you turn up early and there are very little people in the reservation queue, I’d say go for it. No harm done if you are turned away for being too early.

    I went online and checked the page at the stroke of midnight and Yorkdale had the iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey I wanted but it was gone in the next minute and the “Get Started” link did not work (probably because of server traffic). Next time, I will have both the Reservation and Pickup Page open and already be signed in to a page next to it so I can just order VERY quickly…But I am still not sure. Anybody have any tips?
