The company has responded to iPhone X pre-orders to say launch demand has been “off the charts”, according to a spokesperson’s statement to TechCrunch:

We are thrilled to be taking orders for iPhone X, the future of the smartphone. We can see from the initial response, customer demand is off the charts. We’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of every customer who wants one, as quickly as possible. We will keep accepting orders online, and iPhone X will be available at Apple retail stores on Friday, November 3 starting at 8 a.m., as well as from our carrier and retailer partners around the world.

Apple says they are “working hard” to get iPhone X into the hands of customers “as quickly as possible”.

If you just woke up now, you’re probably thinking you don’t want to wait 5-6 weeks for iPhone X. But if you have an Apple Store in your area, Reserve and Pick Up reopens on November 4 at 8AM local time, so you still have a chance.

iPhone X pre-orders are currently available from carriers Rogers, Telus, Bell as well.
