Netflix Rolling Out Redesigned TV Interface Globally Today

Netflix has announced they are rolling out a new design for televisions, starting today for members worldwide.

According to the company, “the new interface was based on rigorous research and testing around how we can make it easier to find titles on TVs, where navigation can feel a bit tougher when you are restricted to just a few buttons on a remote control.”

The redesign means it’s now easier to search and see new content added, as it’s now much simpler to start browsing a movie or TV series, as assisted by a new sidebar.

Also new is easier access to titles members have saved later for viewing in My List, in what Netflix says from their research revealed it helped members “find something great to watch.”

Stephen Garcia, Director, Product Innovation, explains “While this may feel like an obvious update to some, validating that this TV experience was better for our members took extensive research, testing and technology improvements.”
