Opera Touch Web Browser Designed for iPhone XS, XS Max Now Available

Opera has announced that it has launched Opera Touch, its new innovative browser, on Apple’s iPhone platform.

According to a new press release, the Opera Touch mobile web browser for Apple’s iOS mobile platform is meant to compete with the Safari web browser, saying that they are “challenging the status quo.”

While the web browser has been available for Android users for some time now, it has finally arrived for iOS users, specifically optimized for Apple’s new iPhone line-up, including the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the upcoming iPhone XR, allowing users to use the web browser with just one hand on those big displays.

The company claims that the new browser has been designed to “match the beauty, speed and ease of use of the new iPhone line.” Maciej Kocemba, Opera Touch Product Manager, said, “We are releasing Opera Touch just in time with Apple’s new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR because we believe that our browser is the perfect one to make these new devices really shine.” He added, “Today’s new phones have big, beautiful displays, but conventional browsers are yet to adapt to this development. Our product is aimed at people who want to fully appreciate their iPhones.”

Opera Touch also comes with Flow, Opera’s innovative feature that lets users share links, notes, images, and videos with their friends, support for accessing the most recent tabs from your desktop’s Opera browser, the ability to adapt to your browsing patterns, and a built-in ad blocker with crypto jacking protection.

Additionally, it comes with Instant Search with text and QR/ barcode search features. Users will also get access to tabs from the Opera desktop browser on the iPhone browser’s home screen. Also, Opera says that the browser “adapts to you”, meaning the top sites will automatically be added to the browser’s home screen.

Opera Touch for iOS users is now available for download from the App Store.
