Pulldown – Coming Soon to Cydia

One of the coolest things I like about Tweetie, (now Twitter for iPhone), is the way you pull down the screen to refresh your feed. It is a cool, fun way to load your newest tweets. It is almost instinctive now, as I try to do it in other apps as well, and I almost get frustrated when it doesn’t work. I have to remind myself that it only works in Tweetie.

Chpwn, creator of Infinidock, Infiniboard, and co-creator of ProSwitcher, is working to bring this functionaliy to more apps, with his new tweak, simply called Pulldown. It will allow you to pull your screen down on other apps, to refresh your page, just like in Tweetie.

It is unclear how many apps will be supported by Pulldown, as the developer will have to specifically add each app to this tweak. Chpwn has said on Twitter, that has support down for Mail, Instapaper, and WiFiFofum. He is also working on Echofon and Facebook, among others. He has also said that there is no way to add support for Safari or Cydia, because of how they reload data, and there are some apps he won’t add support for, if he’s just not a fan of the app. 🙂 If you want to vote for what apps should be supported, you can go here: Chpwn’s poll 😉

Here’s a couple of videos he uploaded, showing Pulldown in action:

There is no release date or price announced for Pulldown yet. All chpwn has said, is that it won’t be free. Keep your eye on the Cydia Store for this one.
