The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has announced a new way for its business clients to perform their daily banking transactions. RBC business clients will now be able to connect face-to-face with a representative using a new video chat feature that is available on the web and mobile devices.

The Canadian bank is the first bank in Canada to provide remote video banking. The company does this with an aim to make it as easy as possible for their clients to get the advice they need. In a statement, RBC SVP of Contact Centres Cathy Honor said:

“We continue to serve clients in new and innovative ways as their banking lives evolve. Now, our clients don’t need to give up their face-to-face connection with RBC if they are unable to visit a branch. Video banking empowers them to bank and maintain their personal relationship with RBC, when and where it’s convenient for them.”

RBC will provide its business clients with easy-to-use, clear and security to meet the needs of changing expectations from businesses. The first phase of their rollout started earlier this month with its small business clients. RBC says it has plans to roll out its free 24/7 video banking solution to more business clients next year.
