RealTalk Launches iOS App to Enable Consumers to Privately Message Businesses

RealTalk, a technology company based in Victoria, British Columbia, has launched a new app for iOS and Android that allows consumers to instantly message businesses and quickly receive an answer.

The app, which is titled “RealTalk – Message Businesses,” is similar to PathTalk (formerly TalkTo). Once you ask a question to the business of your choice, the business will be able to promptly respond to your question. In the event that the business doesn’t exist in RealTalk’s system, RealTalk will contact the business for you and keep you informed on the status of your response.

RealTalk lets you search by business name or category, making it simple to find the company you are looking for. RealTalk offers a ready-made customer service platform using instant messaging, therefore businesses are not required to build their own system. The real-time interaction strengthens the relationship with consumers, fosters consumer loyalty, and will increase revenue and drive new customers to the businesses.

“Research shows that in today’s fast-paced technological environment, consumers, especially millennials, have an expectation of immediate response to their enquiries and don’t want to be left on hold on the telephone. The public wants to message businesses via mobile, and they want an answer – instantly. Businesses currently lack the tools to keep customers engaged in real-time. RealTalk’s instant-messaging app solves this problem.”

The one downside of the app is consumers can only sign-up using Facebook. However, RealTalk has confirmed (in an email to us) that signup via email/phone number will be included in a future release.

RealTalk for iOS is available as a free download from the App Store. The app requires a device running iOS 6 or later and has been optimized for the iPhone 5, 6, and 6 Plus.
