Rumour: iPhone 6 Said to Sport a 10+ MP camera with f/1.8 Aperture

Iphone rear camera

Citing Taiwanese supply chain sources, the Chinese site IT168 reports that the iPhone 6 will have a tremendous camera upgrade: more than 10 megapixels for the rear camera, with f/1.8 aperture and interchangeable resin lenses (via G4Games).

To put that into perspective, the iPhone 5s has an 8 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. This is the camera which was used to film the short movie that surpassed every Superbowl ad.

Furthermore, the Taiwanese sources also claim that the iPhone 6 will feature interchangeable resin lenses manufactured by the Japanese company JSR, known for its camera lenses called ARTON Resins.

The rumour apparently contradicts previous whispers claiming that Apple would stick with an 8 MP camera, but would implement other great enhancements.
