Skip YouTube Ads with Touch Bar on New MacBook Pro

Touch bar macbook pro

Spotted first by a user on Reddit, the new MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar lets users scrub through otherwise unskippable YouTube ads, allowing users to start watching the video right away.

According to Redditor RomansFiveEight, the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro pops up a scrubbing control in Safari, whenever a video begins to play, that also lets you scrub through an Ad (via CultOfMac).

“In Safari, the touchbar [sic] will pop up a scrubbing control whenever a video begins to play. Amazingly, you can use that to scrub THROUGH an ad, even a non-skippable 30 second pre-roll ad; and begin your video right away!”

Well, if you’re still undecided whether to go for the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar or the one without it, this certainly gives you another reason to go for the former, although the feature may vanish in a future update since Google and many video creators are dependent on YouTube ad revenues.
