Somewhere deep in apple head quarters Tim Cook must be screaming at Johnny Ive.

Did we seriously just have a WWDC with NO hardware, at ALL?

    What’s going on here?

Whatever it is, they are making customers for their suppliers by default.

Apple knows how to do keynotes, I’ll give them that. It was fun to watch and I enjoyed (for the most part) the demos.

Overall though, I was left less than satisfied. There were some nice features announced that will arrive in the fall, but nothing that wowed me. Much of the iOS enhancements were just playing catchup with Google, which is becoming an all too familiar scenario.

I was hoping for, but not expecting, a new MacBook Pro announcement as I’m due for an upgrade. Hopefully the rumours are true and we’ll see that later this month.

All in all I stick with Apple, especially the MacBook, because it works reliably and I feel supported should something go wrong as I live less than two blocks from an Apple Store. But I have to admit, if the new iPhone in September, is as underwhelming as it appears it’s going to be, I’m going to be severely tempted to go back to Android.
