Burstn is a photo app made by a Canadian company that lets you share your photos on Facebook, Twitter, email and with other Burstn users. But if you don’t feel like sharing your photos with the public you can share just with family or friends, actually you can create a specific list.
Like other photo apps when you take a picture you can turn on/off the flash, use a grid overlay and add/share your geo location. One feature of Burstn similar to Facebook is that you can comment and like photos.
One feature I like with Burstn is the preview button. It lets you add a caption right after you take a picture and it allows you to share the photo with Facebook and Twitter right away.
Another thing I like about Burstn is that it is similar to social networks; you can follow people and have followers, search for people to follow or find friends through your email address book, Facebook and Twitter.
Burstn also allows you to view popular photos of other users and it offers you suggestions on who to follow just like Twitter.
Some things I didn’t like about Burstn. First it crashed quite a bit on my iPhone 4. Another thing is that it doesn’t shoot HDR photos; hopefully this will be fixed in an update.Third, I wish one could add little touches to the photos like in Camera+. Finally, I don’t like that most Burstn users take a lot of self-portraits.
Burstn is an OK photo-sharing app considering it’s free. I personally would rather use Instagram because it offers more.
