Zen Studios is known for its pinball games for console gamers. So I was very excited to find out the company now has an app for your iOS devices.
What makes Zen Pinball so popular is its realism. From the ball movement to the sounds and control, you feel like you’re playing an actual pinball machine.
The app is free and includes one table – Sorcerer’s Lair. You can purchase a number of other tables including many from Marvel Comics. If there is a drawback to this app, it’s the price of the other tables. The Marvel ones are $1.99 each and there is no option to bundle them to perhaps lower the price a tad.
The non Marvel tables are only $0.99.
While those prices may not appeal to everyone, you should know the tables offer a ton of replay value. While you can simply try to see how long you can last without losing your three balls, each table has its own storyline with tasks to accomplish for higher scores.
The game control is super simple. You just tap on the left or right side of the scene to activate the corresponding flipper. You can even choose several different viewing angles for each table, some of which allow the camera to follow the ball as it moves around.
The Marvel tables even offer 3D characters that will interact with each other right on the table at various times in the game.

If you’re a big pinball fan you’ll love Zen Pinball. Zen Studio says it will be adding more tables. As of this review there are six to choose from.
