Affordable iPhone and iPod Accessories

by RoryPiper on December 27th, 2009

Happy Holidays, everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas.

I’m sure you’re all aware that there are tons of Boxing Week sales out there right now, but I stumbled upon a site, that has great prices all year round. www.monoprice.com has all kinds of iPhone compatible accessories, at unbelievable prices. USB sync cables and wall chargers for less than $3, a 7 in 1 FM transmitter car kit for less than $16, and so much more. You can order in bulk, and save even more.

This site has much, much more than just iPhone stuff. Home theatre, networking, printer ink, and any type of video, audio, or computer cable you might need, they probably have, and at amazing prices. For example, you can get a 6ft HDMI 1.3 cable for less than $10! Compare that to Future Shop’s price for a Monster 3.2ft HDMI cable at $154.99.

I should mention that I have yet to order from this site, so I can’t speak for the quality of the products, but their tag line is “Best Quality Products at the Lowest Prices – Always”.

This company is based in the US, so you’re going to pay a bit extra on shipping and possibly customs fees, but the overall savings are still incredible. They accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Google Checkout. They ship via USPS, UPS, and a few others. For all payment, shipping, warranty, and return info, visit their support page here.

Sweet! I forgot about checking that website for deals :P
  • Great
When did you sell out? How many "ad" reviews should we expect on this blog now?
  • This post was written by Rory Piper, and it saves us all money. There's nothing wrong with promoting a good company that offers value and service.
  • Are you against saving money or getting more value for your dollar?

Monoprice is amazing! I bought a 25 foot HDMI cable for 34 dollars shipping included. Excellent quality and works great! They have a great Mini Display Port to HDMI converter for those of you who have Macbook Pros... 9.99 (approx) and very reasonable shipping (3 dollars?). I also bought toner for my Brother MFC. Staples price? 44.99... Monoprice charges 5.99, works just as good!
  • Purchased from Monoprice.com a few times. Each time, products end up being cheaper (even after shipping fees) than buying from Canada. Be sure to check review of each product you buy as some assurance that you are getting a decent product. High gauge speaker cables, HDMI Cables, optical cables, digital coaxial cables, S-Video cables, USB cables, Cat-6 cables are all good quality. Just be sure to keep each order around / below $40. After that, duty kicks in. :)

Noticed you showed an "in-wall installation" HDMI cable. Be sure to pick up the "normal" 28AWG HDMI 1.3a Category 2 Certified Male to Male Cables for your typical Blu-Ray / notebook / A/V receiver connections.

I've bought from Mononprice may times (shipped to Canada) with no problems. Their prices are great, the best I've found. In general, cable prices at Futureshoip, BestBuy, etc are a joke. HDMI is a digital signal, a $10 cable will carry it perfectly, no bit errors. An expensive cable with exotic materials can't do any better than perfect.
  • If you think monoprice is affordable you should take a look at DealExtreme.

That site is really dirt cheap and free shipping on everything. It takes a couple of weeks, but they do ship, really.
