How to Change your SIM Card Number on Rogers for iPhone 4

Did you purchase an unlocked iPhone 4 from Apple? If you did, then you’re going to have to change your SIM card number on Rogers.com, as your SIM won’t fit into the microSIM slot on the iPhone 4. You could cut your original SIM down to size, but it’s easier to just change your SIM card number on Rogers.com (or by giving them a call).

Rogers.com is…how can we say this…not the most “user friendly” website. It took me a while to navigate through the maze of menus and buttons to change my SIM card info online. So hopefully this will help those out who need it.

Let’s get started with this quick tutorial.

1. Login to your My Rogers account on Rogers.com
2. Click on “Manage my Wireless”

3. Click on “Hardware”

4. Click on “Change SIM Card”

5. Enter your old SIM card number (located on the back of the SIM itself). Below, enter in your new microSIM card number (located on the back of the microSIM).

6. Click “Change” and wait…and BAM! It should be updated immediately. My iPhone 4 was up and running right away!

If you’re on Bell or Telus, I haven’t used their website services for changing SIM cards, but let us know if that option is available. Let me know how this works for you!

Please Answer! It very important to me!
So let say I brought an iPhone 4 for not term at apple story and I got an iPhone 3g S and I’m on my second year contract. If I can switch my sim card to a micro sim card online from rogers will I have to change plan? Since my old plan is iphone plan.

No, you can keep your plan. They don’t force you to change.

Not that I don’t trust me but do you think they will force me to change plans?

No, they wont. As long as you already have a data plan, they can’t force you. If you don’t have a data plan, they can refuse to contract one to you without a data addon

One last thing bro. Will the Apple store provide me  a micro sim card or I have to get one @ Rogers store.
And all I have to do is follow the instruction up top? Right? and maybe after I the Sim card thing it probably take half n hour to an hour for Rogers to confirm it?

I have a telus iPhone 4 and I want to switch to Rogers but they say they can’t change the sim card because it is a different size. How can I switch without having to buy a new iPhone?

Just ask for a micro sim, any career will do it for you for $10. Providing your phone and service belongs to their network.
