I have a 2g iphone from the US running on AT&T. I'm moving to Canada – so can I use my same iphone on Rogers network if I “unlock” it?

if you have your SHSHs file backup on cydia you can downgrade to 3.1.2. and try to jailbreak/unlock again.

Guys, This is my story and hope someone can help.

Been using my unlocked iPhone 3Gs I received lastX-Mas without issues and extremely pleased. About 2 wks ago I replied Yes to the iTunes message to upgrade the iPhone (I don't know what got into me then) and I've been locked out since.
Went through the steps above to no success, the iPhone goes to emergency call screen and iTunes says the SIM card is not recognized. I'm at a loss including others I've asked for help. My iPhone had a PWD to get in perhaps this may complicate matters more .. don't know!

I even purchased the blackrain on the web (yes, that's the desperation I'm at at the moment), their help desk is not responding to my emails and I'm left out in the cold. Can anyone help me out ... PLEASE !!!!!

Anyone has a good tutorial on how to restore to 3.1.2 now since Apple check your iphone with their server and the “Shift” + Restore methods to select the ipsw file wouldn't work anymore. It's very annoying.

I use a PC and I've checked in with Cydia prior to my iPhone is dead now.
