Remember when I posted a mini update on the iPhone 3G unlocking status? Well, today the Dev Team posted a major breakthrough on their blog regarding the iPhone 3G unlock.
They have managed to crack the iPhone 3G’s baseband and run their own tool. Manipulating the baseband is essential in allowing other carrier SIMs to work on the iPhone 3G. The software unlock is inevitable and will be coming very soon. I’ve said this since the beginning–there’s no stopping the incredible work of the Dev Team. It’s just a matter of time!
