Apple Watch Launches in Five New Countries Next Week

As pointed out by 9to5Mac, Apple websites around the world are showing notices that the Apple Watch will officially launch next week in Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Greece.

All countries will have see the launch on February 11th, except for Greece where the smartwatch will launch the next day.

Since Apple does not have official stores in these countries, launches will take place through Apple’s authorized resellers in each country. These launches follow up on the Apple Watch becoming available at 12,000 retail locations since the initial device release in April of 2015.

While pricing for these international Apple Watch launches is yet to be announced, they most likely be more expensive locally compared to the U.S., depending on exchange rates.

Next month, Apple is rumoured to debut new Apple Watch bands at a special event, which will also see the launch of iPad Air 3 and the ‘iPhone 5se’. One analyst predicts an ’S’ Apple Watch upgrade may arrive next month, but is unlikely at this point, according to Matthew Panzarino’s sources over at TechCrunch.
