Bell Releases Cowbell App For iPhone

by Mr. Ex on February 9th, 2010

In the last few weeks, we have seen an increasing number of Olympic related apps becoming available. Today, we have another one!

Bell Cowbell by Bell Mobility Inc.

Bell is one of the major sponsors for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and the company has released a Cowbell app to support Team Canada.

The app showcases a Bell branded cowbell that is activated by tapping on it. The cowbell sound is a good replica to the real thing and is a fun app to use with a group of friends.

The Bell Cowbell app is available in the App Store for free.

  • Truth
Bell launches a FREE app and all you can do is bitch!? aw my device cant run on 2G... lol don't buy a fast phone if you are concerned about battery life you dumb fucks. Apparently Bell is in the business of telling Apple how to build their phones (NOT!) lmao, you guys are idiots. - Great app Bell, good for you.
  • Unbelievable
Why the FUCK would they make this not work on an iPod Touch?!

LOL Who decided to make it tapping on the screen? Why not SHAKING THE PHONE instead?!
  • Shaking works too! Try it ;)

I do find the sound a little weak though!

Seriously though bell sucks.... Thier iPhones can't be used on 2G, so you can't turn off 3G to preserve your battery.... Terrible company to get an iPhone with!!
  • Their 3G network seems to be doing quite alright, but I'm with you on
the lack of EDGE to fall back on for saving battery life. Seems this
is the one advantage of Rogers.

  • This is a funny app, never know when you want to use a cowbell
