I went in yesterday to ask about it, what they told me is for new customers only (meaning if you're already in a contract your SOL) they have the ability to essentially match Telus prices meaning they only are dropping $2.70 off not the full fee.

If they just raise their rates to compensate, it's all a pointless marketing exercise to try keeping up with the other carriers. Sorry Bell, you missed the Good Publicity Boat on this one.
