Amazon Devices February Round-up: Jaguar, Land Rover Get Alexa, Fire TV Updates, and More
Alexa is getting smarter and more complex every single day by finding new ways of applying learned behaviours to new and different scenarios. Currently built into more than 100,000,000 devices worldwide, Alexa and the Echo suite of devices continue to evolve.
Here are the top Amazon devices updates you should know for the month of February 2022.
Jaguar and Land Rover Introduce Alexa
Alexa is now available on all new and existing Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles fitted with its advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system. The seamless integration brings the familiar Alexa experience into the vehicle and provides natural voice interaction with Pivi Pro’s features including navigation, media playback, phone calls, and compatible smart devices.
Requests such as ‘Alexa, navigate me to home’, ‘Alexa, play my chill-out playlist’ and ‘Alexa show me nearby coffee shops’ can all be done by voice, without touching Pivi Pro’s touchscreen.
Multilingual Mode for Fire TV
Amazon has announced the launch of Alexa Multilingual Mode support on Fire TV devices. Fire TV customers in Canada can now switch between English and French when using Alexa on Fire TV.
For example, if a customer asks for the weather in French, Alexa responds in French. If they ask for a reminder in English, Alexa will respond in English.
Coming Up: International Women’s Day & Women’s History Month
This March, customers everywhere will be able to celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with a variety of skills and utterances available through Alexa. Users will be able to say, “Alexa, who inspires you?” for a thoughtful reply in honour of this annual event.
Coming Up: Stay Entertained during Spring Break
