Google Brings New Services Sidebar To Its Mobile Home Page

In addition to updating its Google+ iOS app with full support for iOS 6 and iPhone 5?s larger display, Google has also issued a redesign of its mobile search homepage (via The Verge). A new services task bar listing all Google products now replaces the old tabs at the top of the screen (shown below).

On visiting Google.com in iPhone’s mobile Safari, you’ll see a different interface where rather than having tabs with a few of Google’s core services, there’s now a hidden left-hand services sidebar that contains all of the Google products including news, mail, calendar, translate and documents.

Although it may not be considered as a huge re-design, but it’s certainly more refined and makes it a lot easier to access Google services beyond search, especially on mobile Safari.
